Brer Dormido, born in 1994 in Portsmouth, VA, is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Vallejo, CA. Dormido’s artistic practice spans painting, 3D art, and digital illustration, with a particular focus on oil paintings on canvas inspired by classical master techniques, 3D character and environment modeling in Blender, and contemporary anime-style digital illustrations crafted in Clip Studio Paint and Affinity Photo. Dormido is best known for their pop surrealist imagery, marked by a distinctive use of pinks and purples, alongside an exceptional talent for color, proportion, and composition.

Dormido’s work is characterized by its exploration of vivid, fantastical themes and a fascination with the otherworldly. Their subject matter often revolves around monster girls, still life, and liminal spaces, which together create a dreamlike narrative that challenges the boundaries between reality and imagination.
